To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Law has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Law under the faculty of Law.

JAMB Subject Combination For Law

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Law are:

Any three Arts or Social Science subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) BU, UNILORIN, UNN, UNIBEN, AAU and OAU require Literature in English plus any two (2) subjects.

(ii) UNILAG does not accept Music, Fine Arts, and Principles of Account and accepts either Economics or Commerce but not both.

(iii) UI – accepts Science subjects.

(iv) DELSU and ABU require Literature in English and any other Arts or Social Science subjects.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Law

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Law under the faculty of are as follows:

Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Literature in English and Mathematics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNN does not require mathematics
Fine Art or Local languages.

(ii) UI – requires 5 ‘O’ level Credits passes at one sitting or six ‘O’ level subjects at 2 sitting to include English. Language, Lit-in-English any other subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science.

(iii) UNIUYO, MADONNA, BIU, IMSU and UNIBEN accept a pass in Mathematics.

(iv) AAU and NAU require a credit in one science subject and one Commercial subject and at least a pass in Mathematics.
5. BSU accepts any other three Arts/Social Science. subjects

(vi) UNILAG requires the Five O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and Lit. in English and one of Arts or Social Science subject.

(vii) ESUTECH requires credit passes in Mathematics or Science subject.

(viii) UNIJOS credit pass in Mathematics is not compulsory.

(ix) OAU requires Five “O” level credit passes to include English Language and Literature in English.

(x) ABUAD requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Maths, Literature in English and two other subjects from Arts or Social Science at one sitting.

(xi) NDU requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Maths, Literature in English and any other two subjects in not more than two sittings.

(xii) BU – requires five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Literature in English and three other Arts subjects at not more than two sittings.

(xiii) UMYU requires five credit passes at SSCE(or its equivalent) in English Language, English Literature and any other three Social Science or Arts subject with a pass in Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

(xiv) KSU requires five credit passes at SSCE(or its equivalent) in English Language, English Literature and any other three Sciences, Social Sciences or Arts subjects.
