To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Religious Studies has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Religious Studies under the faculty of Arts and Humanities.

JAMB Subject Combination For Religious Studies

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Religious Studies are:

CRK/IRS and any two other subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU require CRK/IRS and one Art subject and an Arts or a Social Science subject.

(ii) AAUA and EKSU require Two Arts subjects and one other subject.

(iii) UNIBEN accepts ant three subjects.

(iv) SAU requires CRS, Government or History and any other Arts subjects.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Religious Studies

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Religious Studies under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language and CRK/IRS.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) AAUA accepts merit at TC II in English in lieu of SSCE English Language.

(ii) UNIBEN five SSCE credit passes or five Merit level passes in T.C. II at not more than two sittings. Subjects should include English Language, Religious Knowledge and two other Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

(iii) PAUL requires five SSCE credit passes in not more than two sittings (or equivalent qualification) including English Language, Mathematics and three Arts/Social Science subjects.

(iv) NDU requires five ‘O’ level credit passes in English, Religious Studies plus three other subjects, two of which must be Arts subjects.

(v) GO requires credit pass in Mathematics.
