To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Sociology and Anthropology has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Sociology and Anthropology under the faculty of Social and Management Sciences.

JAMB Subject Combination For Sociology and Anthropology

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Sociology and Anthropology are:

Government or History plus two other Social Science/Arts subjects

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBEN accepts two Social Science subjects and any other subject.

(ii) OAU requires Mathematics, Economics and Geography or Government.

(iii) EBSU requires Government/History plus two other social science/Arts subject.

(iv) ESUTECH requires Government

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Sociology and Anthropology

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Sociology and Anthropology under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes in Government or History, English Language and three other subjects. At least a pass in Mathematics is required

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) EBSU requires ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, History/Government/Economics one science subject and any Arts or social science subject.

(ii) OAU accepts Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include Mathematics and History or Economics or Geography

(iii) UNIUYO requires at least P.7 in Mathematics

(iv) UNN requires five O’ level credit passes which must include English Language, one Science subject, and at least three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects.

(v) ESUTECH requires a credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Government and any two Arts or Social Science subjects.

(vi) UNIBEN requires five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and any two Social Science subjects.

(vii) OAU requires English Language, Mathematics and at least two Social Science and ones Arts subject.
