To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Urban and Regional Planning has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Urban and Regional Planning under the faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology.

JAMB Subject Combination For Urban and Regional Planning

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Urban and Regional Planning are:

Mathematics, Geography and one of Economics, Physics, Chemistry

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OAU requires Economics in addition to Mathematics.

(ii) LAUTECH accepts Geography and two of Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Government, Biology and Agric Science.

(iii) FUTA requires Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Geography.

(iv) MAUTECH accepts Technical Drawing

(v) UNILAG also accepts Biology.

(vi) JABU requires five credit passes at English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any other two subjects plus ND at Upper Credit level.

(vii) UNN requires mathematics and any two subjects from Economics, Government, Geography, Fine arts, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agric Sciences.

(viii) CRESCENT requires Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry/ Biology/ Geography.

(ix) UNIJOS accepts any one of Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Economics and Biology as the third subject.

(x) UNIOSUN requires Mathematics and any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Geography.

(xi) FUTO requires Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

(xii) OOU accepts Mathematics or Geography

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Urban and Regional Planning

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Urban and Regional Planning under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and any two of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Government, Biology, Art, History, IRK/CRK, Social Studies and Tech Drawing.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) FUTA requires five credits at not more than two sittings in SSCE, WASSCE, NECO, or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any two subjects from Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Economics, and Technical Drawing. The prospective candidate must have at least a pass in Physics.

(ii) ABU requires five ‘0’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Geography and any other two from Economics, Technical Drawing, Fines Arts, Chemistry and Biology.

(iii) MAUTECH requires Five `O’ level credits in English Mathematics, Geography and any other two (one from Physics/ Chemistry/Biology/Agric Science) and (one other from Economics/Social Sciences/Tech. Drawing/ Creative Arts).

(iv) OAU accepts Economics in lieu of Geography, but does not accept Govt., IRS, CRK and Social Studies.

(v) RSUST, IMSU and ESUTECH do not accept IRK, CRK, History and Social Studies.

(vi) LAUTECH accepts Agricultural Science as sciences.

(vii) ABSU does not insist on Geography.

(vii) UNN requires 5 credit level passes at SSC to include English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects from Economics, Government, Fine Arts, Technical Drawing, Physics, Chemistry, Agric Science, and Biology.

(ix) UNILAG requires credit passes from Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Technical Drawing as the fourth and fifth subjects.

(xi ABSU requires a credit pass in Economics as UTME requirements.

(xi) ESUTECH accepts credit passes in Fine Arts and Surveying

(xii) UNIUYO requires a credit pass in Mathematics.

(xiii) RENAISSANCE requires five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography/Tech. Drawing at not more than two sittings.

(xiv) BELLS requires five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any two from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing.

(xv) RSUST and UNIOSUN require two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Economic, Biology and Surveying. RSUST accepts credit pass in Government.

(xvi) FUTMINAA and ABSU require five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Fine Arts, Technical Drawing, Economics and Government.

(xvii) CRESCENT requires two other subjects from Sciences and Social Sciences.

(xviii) UNIJOS requires two other credit passes from Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology, Fine Art and Technical Drawing.

(xix) FUTO requires at least five ‘O’ Level credits in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Language, and any other from Geography, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing.
