To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Agricultural Science and Education has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Agricultural Science and Education under the faculty of Education.

JAMB Subject Combination For Agricultural Science and Education

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Agricultural Science and Education are:

Any three subjects from Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Physics, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) DELSU does not require Physics, Economics and Geography/ Physics.

(ii) RSUST requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science and Economics/Geography /Physics.

(iii) BASU requires Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other subject.

(iv) IAUED accepts candidates with any one science subject or Geography, Economics and Health Science.

(v) FUAM requires Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

(vi) UNIBEN requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science and any other Science subject.

(vii) UNN requires Agric/Biology, Chemistry and any other social science subject among Economics, Geography, Government; any trade between Animal Husbandry and Fishery.

(viii) ABU does not accept Economics, Geography and Mathematics.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Agricultural Science and Education

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Agricultural Science and Education under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credits or equivalent in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science., Mathematics and another relevant subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) EKSU and UNICAL accept a pass in Chemistry.

(ii) RSUST accepts a pass in English Language and Mathematics.

(iii) RSUST accepts a pass in English Language provided candidates have distinction in O’ level Agricultural Science.

(iv) FUAM requires Agric and accepts either Biology or Physics.

(v) DELSU accepts a pass in English Language.

(vii) UNIBEN require five O/L credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.

(viii) FUAM and UNIMAID require credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science

(ix) TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language, Biology/ Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and any one /two of Geography/Physics, Physics and Economics.

(x) UNN require Credits in Agricultural Science or Biology plus at least a pass in Chemistry in SSCE/GCE/O’ Level or NECO/NABTEB in addition to UNN minimum entry requirement.

(xi) UNIUYO requires a credit pass in English Language.

(xii) ABSU requires Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Biology and any other subject.

(xiii) NDU requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural and any two Science subjects in not more than two sittings.

(xiv) IAUED – Same as in Fine and Applied Arts Education

(xv) BASU – requires Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Arithmetic, Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry or General Science and any two subjects. It accepts credit pass in Arithmetic, or General Science or Technical Trades in lieu of Mathematics, or Biology or Physics respectively.
