To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB subject combination for Health Education has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Keep in mind that the JAMB subject combinations as well as the o level (WAEC) requirements mentioned on this post are only meant for Health Education under the faculty of Education.

JAMB Subject Combination For Health Education

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Health Education are:

English Language and three other relevant subjects.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNIBEN – requires one Science subject and two other Science or Social Science subjects.

(ii) DELSU requires Biology or Health Science.

(iii) AAUA requires Biology as one of the UTME subjects.

(iv) UNN requires Biology and any two relevant subjects.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Health Education

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Health Education under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit/TC II merit passes to include English Language and Mathematics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) OOU accept NCE General English in lieu of credit pass at ‘O’ level English.

(ii) OAU (For Physical and Health Education) requires five ‘O’ level credits or TC II merit passes including English Language and any other three Sciences, Social Science or Art Subjects.

(iii) OOU and OAU – Biology is not mandatory.

(iv) UI and DELSU require English Language and any three subjects.

(v) UNIBEN requires Five ‘O’ level credit/TC II merit passes to include English Language and one Science subject.

(vi) DELSU require English Language, Biology and at least a pass in Mathematics.

(vii) UI – same as in Human Kinetics.

(viii) UNIMAID require a credit pass in Mathematics.

(ix) UNIUYO requires credit pass in English Language and Chemistry.

(x) AAUA accepts pass in Mathematics.

(xi) DELSU requires at least a pass in Mathematics and two other subjects.

(xii) TASUED requires Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language and at least one Science subject and Mathematics.

For Health Education:
(a) Five SSCE/GCE/NECO credits/ TC II merit passes in five subjects including English Language, Biology/Health Science/Physical Education or their equivalent in not more than two sittings.

(xiii) OAU (For Health Education) requires five ‘O’ level credit or TC II merit passes including English Language, any one of Biology/Health Science/Integrated Science, plus any other three subjects.

(xiv) UNN requires: For Physical Education
(a) 5 O’ level credit passes to include Credit in English Language and Biology/Health Science/or Physical Education/ Agric. Science in WASC/GCE/NECO/ SSCE obtained in not more than 2 sittings.
(b) TC II merit pass in five subjects including English Language, Biology/Physical Education/Agricultural Science.

For Health Education:
(a) Five SSCE/GCE/NECO credits/ TC II merit passes in five subjects including English Language, Biology/Health Science/Physical Education or their equivalent in not more than two sittings.
