To make this official, this is a notice to inform all JAMB and WAEC candidates who will be sitting for the upcoming JAMB examination that JAMB and WAEC subject combination for Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

JAMB Subject Combination For Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages

The required JAMB subject subject combination for Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages are:

Igbo and two subjects from Arts and social Sciences.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(ii) UNN requires Igbo or any other Language and any two other subjects. For Linguistics (Option), requires Literature in English and 2 other subject.

WAEC (O Level) Subject Requirements For Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages

The list of compulsory WAEC subjects required for Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages under the faculty of are as follows:

Five SSCE credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

(i) UNN requires 5 O’ Level credit passes to include English language and one Science subject. Candidates for Linguistics must possess a credit pass in Literature in English while candidates for linguistics and Nigerian Language must possess a credit pass in the Nigerian language to be combined with linguistics.
